Using specially developed equipment and with the benefit of BT's unrivalled expertise in telecommunications, RedCARE is an alarm signalling network. This means a network that monitors and checks the system every minute and every hour of every day.

If the alarm is activated or the phone line is affected in any way, it acts within seconds, transmitting an appropriate signal to the monitoring centre, no matter whether the line is engaged, damaged or even cut through.

By using your existing BT line, you can benefit from the maximum peace of mind that RedCARE brings, without the extra cost of a new or separate phone line, and with no disruption to your business activity or home life.

It is however recommended that if there are three or more devices connected to the ordinary speech line or if the line is also used for the transmission of data, such as fax or modem, a separate line should be used for the RedCARE service.
