Ensure that all keyholders are aware of the password and the
setting and un-setting procedures for the alarm. Also instruct them on how to
deal with false alarms (see below). |

Mice, birds and insects account for 50% of false alarms, so
please ensure that all windows and doors are closed, and that all sensors are
clear of spiders' webs. If you have a problem with rodents on your premises,
contact your local Pest Control company. |

Infrared sensors work by detecting rapid changes of
temperature, so please remember to keep all doors and windows shut and make
sure that blow heaters and air conditioning units are switched off (and not on
a timer) prior to setting your system. |

Let us know of any physical change to your premises. Alarms
will only remain effective if they can view the area they were set up for. If
in doubt ask the service engineer on his next visit or contact us. |

If the alarm is accidentally activated....DO NOT PANIC
!!..., Silence the alarm by inserting your user code, then call your monitoring
station at once quoting your password and cancel any calls to the Police or
keyholders. Then call our 24 hr number and we will reset your alarm
system. |

Make sure that no data equipment is fitted on the same line
as your alarm system. This includes Modems, Fax machines, Answerphones,
Payphones and Credit Card readers. Before cancelling a phone line which you
think is not longer being used, please check that it is not connected to your
alarm. Also remember that ISDN lines are not yet compatible with Red Care
Systems. |

Do not use the detectors as support for decorations. Also
note that any decorations hanging from the ceiling, if not properly supported
could activate the alarm system. |

And FINALLY remember ......, keep your alarm system in
perfect working order and you can keep the Burglar out for good !. |
